James Cook
P+HS has been working at James Cook University Hospital for over 15 years, delivering a wide range of acute services across all disciplines at the major acute tertiary centre. Schemes have included cardiac theatres, cardiac intensive care unit, outpatients departments, renal facilities, women and children, maternity delivery suites, new endoscopy centre, several linear accelerator bunkers, rapid access clinic and general ward improvement programmes.
More recently, a whole series of projects are being undertaken under ProCure21, with the PFI partner working with the Trust commissioning schemes jointly. Schemes vary from the new £20m Oncology Centre, comprising three new linac bunkers, outpatients and chemotherapy unit and new £3m general theatres and recovery area, through to over 30 projects procured through the P21 minor work contract. In addition, P+HS are developing a demonstration “end of life” pilot ward for the Trust, as part of a research project for the King’s Fund.
