Nottingham LINACS

Building on its expertise elsewhere, P+HS was appointed by ProCure 21 PSCP Medicinq to develop the new Radiotherapy Department at Nottingham City Hospital.

The new £13m scheme comprises a total of three bunkers, with two new 15MV machines, 2 CT simulators and associated control rooms, plus an outpatients department which links directly into the existing main hospital to allow access to inpatient treatment facilities.

One bunker is configured for paediatric use with adjoining anaesthetic facilities. Additional facilities include mould room, workshops for mechanical and electrical components for maintenance and repair. On the upper floors are staff facilities, offices and seminar rooms.

P+HS acted as lead consultants on this highly complex building, coordinating mechanical and electrical installation as part of the overall building design.

The building has a BREEAM Excellent rating.
