P+HS Architects were appointed to the Nuffield Hospitals framework agreement, following a rigorous selection process.

As Britain’s longest standing not-for-profit group of independent hospitals, Nuffield Hospitals provides healthcare that is made accessible and affordable to as many people as possible from a property base of 40 hospitals, and range of other treatment facilities.

Bringing the procurement of architectural services under one central strategy Nuffield chose a very select team to deliver its vision for the future. A coordinated programme of developments and improvements are being carried out over the next three years which will see design, interiors and visual appearance standardised across the group, including the development of new facilities and remodeling of interiors.

Our work has included remodelling, refurbishment and extensions to Nuffield’s portfolio, with work at Newcastle, Warwick and Leicester hospitals. Key to the success of the schemes has been the incorporation of Nuffield’s new branding, with our interior design concepts matching their vision to create the very best in private healthcare provision. Careful selection of materials, components and finishes adds to the feeling of care and comfort, providing a relaxing and reassuring environment in which patients receive their care.
