From its inception 25 years ago P+HS has grown into a major architectural practice developing complex, highly flexible and sustainable buildings for the health and wellbeing of our society. Based in our offices Teesside and Leeds, we work throughout the country and, increasingly, overseas delivering buildings which are good to work and live in, and which promote a positive healing environment.

Healthcare and housing are the cores of our business, representing around 85% of our workload. We’ve been working in these sectors since the early 1980’s and we have specialist skills backed by the very latest technology for healthcare, residential and complex project design. We are recognised nationally and internationally for our work, contributing to national policy and guidance. In addition, we design education, commercial and leisure facilities, all designed and delivered with the same philosophy and care.

P+HS was listed in the Top 100 Architects in the recent Building Magazine industry survey and also by Building Magazine as one of the Top 50 companies to work for in the industry, reflecting the importance of our staff and the commitment we make to them.

Our teams are led by directors and each team comprises a committed group of architects and technologists. We have a dedicated team of around 60 permanent staff, including experienced designers and project leaders, working with many forms of procurement including PFI, ProCure 21, Partnering frameworks and Design & Build, as well as traditional contracts.
