Our Back Story

Founded in 1984 by Chris Potter and Rowland Holmes-Smith, P+HS Architects' first office was a tiny studio in Stokesley North Yorkshire. From this modest start P+HS grew to establish itself as the successful, nationally recognised Practice that we know today. Chris and Rowland have retired but their legacy goes from strength to strength.

Today P+HS is a robust company with three thriving studios, around 80 staff, a diverse national and international project portfolio and a healthy forward order book.

Our strength lies in complex, highly flexible and sustainable buildings that are good to visit, work and live in, enhancing lives for all who experience them.
