Matthew Kempster

Matt joined the growing Manchester Studio in March 2025 as an Architectural Technologist. He holds a First Class degree in Architectural Technology and Practice from the University of Derby, where he was also awarded the University Dean’s Award. Since graduating, he has gained valuable experience working across the Manchester area.

Matt brings with him a broad range of expertise, including refurbishment, reinstatement, and retrofitting of existing buildings, particularly in heritage and conservation contexts. He also has specialist knowledge of greenbelt and agricultural sites, including Class Q barn conversions, as well as residential projects ranging from small-scale extensions to large housing developments.

He is currently contributing to a variety of projects and is focused on expanding his experience as he works toward MCIAT accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
