Green Light for Phase 3 of Housing Development on Teesside

Back in May, we reported on the submission of planning for the third phase of development at a large regeneration site on Teesside, and this week we were delighted to receive notification of its approval!

Working with Countryside Partnerships North East (CPNE) more new homes will now be built at the Kirkleatham Green site near Redcar with work expected to start in November.

P+HS Architects worked closely with CPNE on proposals for the development for several months, providing design information in support of a successful tender submission to Homes England and subsequently, for the planning application.

This final phase of development will see 204 high-quality homes designed to appeal to a range of occupants. The team’s approach to phase three has been based on its intricate understanding of the site and the most important aspect of the development: the people who want a choice of affordable housing in the area.

P+HS Director Chris Dennis said “We have been involved with the Kirkleatham site for several years and it is great to be working with construction and regeneration specialist CPNE on this final tranche of development which will provide high-quality, good value housing in a place where people want to live. From outright sale, private or affordable rent or shared ownership, there will be something for everyone here. The team at CPNE are highly experienced, and taking feedback from phase 1, we have worked closely with them to develop the scheme to meet changing market conditions and the needs of residents.”
