P+HS Architects Pledges Net-Zero by 2040 in New Carbon Reduction Plan
05 September 2025
We've launched our Carbon Reduction Plan 2025, formalising our commitment to achieving Net-Zero emissions by 2040 for operational (Scope 1 & 2) emissions and by 2050 across the full value chain (Scope 3). The plan, embedded within the ISO 14001 environmental management system, reveals a market-based carbon footprint of 244 tCO₂e, with commuting alone responsible for 38% of emissions.
To tackle this, we're proposing a number of practical measures such as installing EV charging stations, introducing salary-sacrifice schemes for green transport, moving to renewable energy tariffs, improving building insulation, and shifting to low-emission vehicles. With clear targets and a systems-integrated approach, we're confident in paving the way toward a sustainable future in architecture.
