P+HS Practice Wide City Visit 2026
P+HS Practice Wide City Visit 2026
16 June 2026
The P+HS team visited London last week for our annual Practice Wide City Visit, exploring the fascinating mix of modern and historic architecture within the Square Mile. From old stone churches tucked into the shadows of glass towers to medieval lanes opening onto massive contemporary forms, it was a fantastic opportunity to see how historic structures and new designs coexist as the city continually reinvents itself.
The trip also allowed members of the practice to step away from day-to-day project work to discuss architectural design collectively.
"The visit to Sir John Soane’s Museum was a reminder of how curiosity and experimentation shape design. It was a successful day spent with the P+HS team."
— Patrick Kelly
"My highlight was seeing colleagues interact with the buildings and the conversations that followed. We can get busy with day-to-day work and forget that architecture is a vocation, not just an occupation. Taking time to visit and discuss buildings together helps remind us of that passion."
— Michael Bland
Our big thanks go to Nick Edwards of London Architecture Tours for guiding us through the streets with such an insightful and enthusiastic afternoon narrative.
With the London trip wrapped up, the team is feeling inspired, re-energised, and already looking forward to our next architectural destination: Liverpool this August!
With special thanks to our trip organisers:
