Ray Hodgson Retires

Last week we said farewell to Ray Hodgson as he retired from P+HS Architects. Wishing him well in retirement, Stokesley office held a lunch and presented gifts and cards. Ray has been a stalwart member of the technical team and a font of knowledge on all things Health & Safety for the last 16 years and he will be greatly missed by staff and clients alike.

Joining P+HS in 2006 Ray has been involved in numerous projects from masterplanning to residential but it is his work in healthcare that he remembers most fondly, in particular at James Cook University Hospital. Here, from 2008 Ray built strong working relationships with the P21 and P22 project teams to deliver a succession of minor works transforming spaces for the benefit of patients and staff. Other 'best moments' for Ray were getting his NEBOSH certifications and completing the Great North Run at the age of 60!

Ray says that he will miss the people he has worked with over the years most of all, but is looking forward to spending time in retirement in other ways. With hens, pigs, sheep and horses at home, a long list of DIY jobs, a classic car (MG Midget) to restore and picking up his guitar again, Ray certainly won't be bored!

Good luck in all you do Ray!
