Dariana Nistor

BA MArch
Architect, Healthcare Lead

Dariana joined the Leeds team in 2018 and is now a Senior Architect with extensive experience in the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects. Her portfolio includes the New Emergency Department in Boston, a series of Maternity Departments across Lincolnshire, the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, Berwick Infirmary, and Emergency Departments in North Lincolnshire. Across these projects, Dariana brings strong design leadership alongside a thoughtful, research-led approach to creating high-quality healthcare environments.

As Healthcare Lead, Dariana plays a key role in the development of the practice’s healthcare sector, both internally and externally. She shares specialist knowledge and best practice across teams, contributes to wider sector initiatives, and supports client and stakeholder engagement to help promote excellence in healthcare design.

In addition, Dariana holds the role of Team Leader, with responsibility for team management and resourcing. She works closely with senior colleagues to support effective studio operations, collaboration, and staff wellbeing.

Alongside her practice role, Dariana has previously lectured at the University of Huddersfield and is currently a Visiting Crit at Leeds Beckett University. Through mentoring and engagement with students, she helps maintain strong links between the practice and emerging talent. She is also a committee member of the Leeds Society of Architects, contributing to the wider architectural and professional community in the city.
