Ellen Baines
BA(Hons) MArch PGDip RIBA
Architect, Associate
After completing an undergraduate and master’s degree at Northumbria University, Ellen qualified as an architect in 2019 from Newcastle University. Ellen is passionate about healthcare architecture and is driven by the positive impact on people and their health that thoughtful design can have. Ellen finds the stakeholder engagement and early stages of a project particularly interesting, working alongside people with different perspectives and experience to feed into the design and project brief. Ellen enjoys the variety within the healthcare sector, with each scheme bringing its own complexities and challenges.
She has worked on a variety of projects at P+HS, both new build and refurbishment. Some of which include; a new Urgent Treatment Centre at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, a Hydrotherapy Pool for a community centre and the Day Treatment Centre at the Freeman Hospital.
