Sarah Tew has recently joined P+HS architects in 2024, returning to North Yorkshire after 20 years! Prior to joining the company, she has gained valuable experience working in Sheffield, Boston USA, and Central London. She has a diverse range of experience as a project architect; from the design of an award-winning Energy Centre for Sheffield University, a rehabilitation centre for wounded defence and has over 4 years’ experience working within the Health Care Sector on projects ranging between £1.8m—£140m contract values. Most recently she has been involved in the Defence sector, developing Single Living Accommodation (SLA’s), and theoretical ‘best practice’ design guides working with the DIO, to large scale new builds where the brief is complex, and the site is constrictive.

Sarah’s input on a project often has a strong emphasis on the design, is always imaginative in the delivery of high-quality design and architecture. Understanding the client’s aims is fundamental to the success of every project.

Sarah studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture at, University College London (UCL), and at Northumbria University and in her spare time, she is a landscape painter, exhibiting her work in major galleries and is one of the artists participating in the North Yorkshire Open Studios for the first time in 2024.
