Green Light for £65m Lynfield Mount Redevelopment

Planning permission has been granted, marking a huge milestone for Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and for everyone who has been part in shaping this important project.

This £65 million investment will be delivered in four phases from spring 2026 through to August 2028, representing a major commitment to creating a modern, therapeutic environment while maintaining continuity of care.

As design leads we've worked extensively with staff, service users, families and community stakeholders. Over 600 hours of engagement and workshops have ensured that every voice has been heard and reflected in the final plans. A lived experience consultant also joined the design team, helping to make sure the new hospital genuinely reflects the needs of those who use it.

The redevelopment will feature:

Energy-efficient, sustainable materials and an all-electric energy supply

Welcoming, inclusive spaces that promote dignity, safety and a sense of belonging.
