Sam Lambert Secures WIN for Chartered Architectural Technologist of the Year

Last month, we were delighted to share the news that one of our own had been recognised on a national stage. Our Chartered Architectural Technologist of the Year finalist, Sam Lambert, secured a well-deserved win, and it is safe to say we were absolutely ecstatic. A number of our team were lucky enough to be there on the evening to celebrate with him, making the moment even more special.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Pete Stead, Director at P+HS Architects, for his continued support of Sam throughout his career and during the award submission process. His guidance has played an important role in helping Sam reach this milestone.

From Sam’s submission, it is clear why he stood out among this year’s nominees. Over the past year, Sam has made an exceptional contribution to Architectural Technology, showing leadership, technical expertise, and unwavering dedication to the profession. Through his work at P+HS Architects and his voluntary commitment to CIAT Aspiration, he has helped shape the future of the discipline and inspire the next generation of Architectural Technologists.

As Regional Aspiration Chair for Yorkshire, Sam revitalised what had been a dormant group, growing it into a thriving network of more than 50 students, graduates, and professionals. His personal outreach, engaging talks, and well-planned events created a supportive community that bridges the gap between education and industry. His presentations across universities and colleges have encouraged countless students to pursue Architectural Technology and connect with CIAT.

Sam has also made a significant national impact. He led the creation of the Aspiration promotional film Aspiration: Where it’s AT and championed the move towards a consistent structure for Aspiration groups across the UK. His work is now influencing regional frameworks nationwide. He further strengthened Yorkshire’s standing by hosting the first national Aspiration Chairs meeting outside London, setting a new benchmark for future events.

Within P+HS Architects, Sam has delivered complex healthcare projects with professionalism and technical rigour, including award recognised modular schemes with Premier Modular. He is a collaborative team member with a keen eye for technical detail and a passion for mentoring, supporting younger colleagues with Revit modelling, project delivery, and their Chartership journeys.

As Sam prepares to step into the role of Overarching Aspiration Chair, he leaves behind a legacy of renewed energy, structure, and innovation in Yorkshire. Already an Emerging Talent Award winner, he continues to embody the very best of a Chartered Architectural Technologist, driving excellence in practice while shaping the profession’s future on a national scale.

We could not be prouder of Sam and all he has achieved.
